In October of this year, the Conference of the Parties for the Convention on Biological Diversity will be held in Cali, Colombia. The NYU MOTH Project, in collaboration with the Fungi Foundation and the Biomimicry Institute, will host a series of events designed to highlight the crucial importance of fungi in biodiversity protection and the urgency of learning from nature.

The events will include the Colombian premiere of the short films Fungi: Web of Life and Flora, Fauna, Funga, which will be introduced by Dr. Aída Vasco-Palacios of the Colombian Mycological Association. There will also be a writing workshop, two panels featuring leaders in fungi protection and biomimicry, and a concert by Cosmo Sheldrake to launch his new song, ‘Song of the Cedars.’
